FLU AND PNEUMOCOCCAL VACCINE
When you’re in a target group for annual flu shot you will receive an invitation letter by post (first half of October). This autumn, people aged 60 (born in 1965) and people aged 78 and older (born in 1947 or earlier) are also eligible for the pneumococcal vaccination. You will receive this invitation at the same time as the invitation for the flu shot. The vaccinations will be given from the second half of October onwards. Influenza occurs usually between December and April, so even in December or later, it is still worthwhile to get the flu shot. If you’re not in a target group and you would still like to get a flu shot, you can contact the practice to request, please note that there are costs involved.
